Altigro Acquires Global Pension Services Bookmark

FAIRFIELD, NJ, January 29, 2009 -- Altigro Pension Services, Inc. of Fairfield, a family-owned business that has been designing and administering retirement plans for more than 35 years, today announced it has acquired the third-party administration division of Global Pension Services, LLC (GPS) of Cranford.

"Both GPS and Altigro have established reputations for providing experienced third-party administration for qualified retirement plans," said Steven P. Greenbaum, president of Altigro Pension Services. "By joining forces, we will build upon that heritage, delivering an expanded range of innovative and enhanced services to our clients."

As part of the acquisition, Gerry Gebauer and members of his staff at GPS will be relocating to Altigro's corporate offices in Fairfield, effective January 19th.

Gebauer, a principal and actuary with GPS for 32 years, stressed that GPS clients will receive the same level of personalized service they are accustomed to. In addition, current fees will remain the same.

Gebauer, of Springfield, said he was attracted to Altigro because of its technological capabilities and "the ability to navigate the ever-changing world of 401k communications and deliverables."

"This really is a new beginning for our business," Gebauer added.

Greenbaum anticipates a smooth transition, as both companies use identical plan administration software. The merger of information systems should be completed by the end of February. About Altigro Pension Services
